We would like to thank everyone for their patience as we have been working to get things in order to open Jacksonville Speedway for 2012 on a limited basis. As we have said before, our group is a collection of numerous people with connections at the Speedway over the years and getting everyone in place to handle it from a promotional, financial and logistical standpoint has taken a fair amount of time given our late start.

We will be holding an informational meeting this coming Sunday, February 19th at Barney’s Pub in Jacksonville at 2:00p.m. We STRONGLY encourage anyone who plans to race at Jacksonville this season to attend so that you can get information on our plans and give your input first hand.

We still have a few business issues to resolve in the next few days prior to making firm and official announcements regarding our schedule and classes. We have a very tentative schedule we have listed below. Most of our events involve a traveling series, then several support classes. We do plan to have one or two unsanctioned Super Late Model shows and Sprint car shows in addition to the series events. Typically we will have Modifieds, Crates, Street Stocks and Hornets joining the shows. On a few occasions we might only have Modifieds OR Crates and not both. On other occasions, such as our POWRi dates we will likely only have Street Stocks OR Hornets joining the Midgets, Micros and Sprints. We might also occasionally have Micros depending on other schedules.

We are also working closely with other area tracks in coordinating our schedule and events to give area racers as many racing options as possible. We are also working on one or two additional special events not on the schedule below.

Friday September 21 – MOWA Sprints – Shaheen’s Blast From The Past

Again, on the majority of the above dates classes will likely include Modifieds, Crates, Street Stocks and Hornets. It is doubtful that we would have a separate Crate class on nights Super Late Models are running.
