Jacksonville Speedway is pleased to announce the addition of several special events for the 2010 season in addition to those previously planned.
On May 14 and July 16, the UMP Modifieds will be participating in a Tri Track Challenge in conjunction with Macon and Shepps speedways. Each of those dates is the first leg of a three race series on the same weekend. A $600 points fund will be divided between the three drivers earning the most points during the weekend. There will be two separate weekends with their own points funds.
On June 4th and July 16th we will host the soon to be announded Big 10 Street Stock series. Street Stocks will be racing for $500 to win on those nights. The series will have a point fund. More details and participating tracks and dates will be announced in the near future.
Our Sportsman race on August 6th will be a qualifier for the Springfield Mile Sportsman race held during the Illinois State Fair. Due to the necessary timing of this race we have had to slightly modify our normal rotation between Micros and Sportsman classes on our schedule in August from those as previously announced. Please take a look at our schedule to see those changes to the schedule.
With the weather starting to break we will be working hard to make improvements to the facilities in the coming weeks prior to our planned opening night of April 30th. We can’t wait to see you at the races.
