The last Monster Energy Sprint Car Series event at Jacksonville Speedway was one for the ages as Jerrod Hull put a last lap slider on veteran Danny Smith to secure his first series victory during the Illinois Sprint Week event. The return of the series to Jacksonville this Friday has the potential to be just as memorable as both Smith and Hull have stated their intention to return for an encore. But points leader and multi-time 2011 feature winner, Jimmy Hurley, along with the rest of the stellar MOWA field are always tough to beat on their home track which sets up an exciting night of sprint car action at the speedway.

Modifieds, Street Stocks and Pony Stocks will also be in action as point races start to heat up in those classes. The Modified points have Ryan Blakeman on top of Curt Rhodes by only 17 points with Blakeman coming off a win following Rhodes’ early exit while leading the last race with mechanical problems. The Street Stock class is even tighter with the top four separated by only six points. Shannon Eskew holds the slim margin over Caleb Wankel, Josh Smith and Travis Wallbaum. Michael McKay has a comfortable lead in the Pony Stock Class.
