July 18, 2022 (Jacksonville, IL) โ Five divisions return to the Jacksonville Speedway this Friday, July 22 to kick off the second half of the 2022 racing season. 410 Winged Sprint Cars, 305 Sprint Cars, MOWA Midgets and Micros, and the UMP Stock Cars will be in competition onย Neal Tire and Auto Serviceย Night.
Fridayโs event marks the return to auto racing in Jacksonville after nearly a month, when the track last ran the JB Hawks Summer Spectacular featuring the World of Outlaws CASE Late Model Series and the Xtreme Outlaw Midgets presented by Toyota. Fans were treated to an absolutely exciting night of racing – and for the history books as Brandon Sheppard, nabbed the victory in the Wildman Kelly Classic for the WoO Late Models and Jade Avedisian found victory lane aboard her CB Industries midget.
410 Winged Sprint Cars make their third appearance to the ยผ-mile bullring this Friday after a weekly racing event in May and a MOWA Sprints race in June. Joe B. Miller and Jake Neuman won those two events, respectively. The MOWA Midgets always bring the fans to their feet with some great wheel-to-wheel action. Karter Sarff, the most recent winner in Midget competition at Jacksonville Speedway, just this past weekend won a POWRi National Midget event.
UMP Stock Cars are exciting to watch as they ride around Jacksonville Speedway and this weekend wonโt be any different. Terry Reed, of Cerro Gordo, Illinois is the most recent winner in Stock Car competition at Jacksonville and is one driver to keep your eyes on.
Making their third visit to Jacksonville for the year is the Micro Sprints. Rain claimed the first night of action when the POWRi Engler Machine and Tool Micro Sprints competed, canceling the nightโs event just prior to their feature. Hayden Harvey won the weekly racing event on June 10 and will look to go back-to-back in feature action this weekend.
Lastly, the 305 Sprint Cars make their 2022 debut at Jacksonville. Whether it be 305 or 410 Sprint Cars, it is guaranteed to be some of the best action on the track.
